This sandy baby toed picture was one I was dying to get!

We went to the beach and I took a ton of pictures,
the bad news....there was a huge baby finger smudge on my lens and I didn't realize it until looking at the pictures! EEK! The bright side.....many pictures still turned out!

Nautas Jeremiah Kleiss

heading home from the hospital

Our amazing son was born August 8, 2011 at 2:07am. He was born 7 lbs 4 ozs, 20 3/4 inches long. He is a great sleeper and rarely ever cries. We are having a great time being parents and are loving every minute. We will post pictures as frequently as possible to keep everyone up to date on this little angel.

Chronicles Of Pregnancy

The week before delivery.
9 months.
8 months.
7 months.
6 months.
5 1/2months.
5 months.
19 weeks.
Even though my pregnancy is officially over, i wanted to put all my "bump" pictures in one place and have a log of the experience. I ended up being sick and vomiting after every meal for the first 6 months but after that it was a breeze! I stayed very active (not exercising or anything like that), we cleaned and organized 2 garages, had a rock wall torn down and a regular wall build back up, the day before we went into labor I painted the laundry room and 1/2 bathroom connected to it. Adam and I, eager to have the baby come at least on time walked everyday sometimes super far. We even went to the state fair and walked for about 4 hours....nothing! Walking didn't do anything for me as far as labor goes. All and all it was a good experience and I can't wait to do it again (sans puking). It took quite a while before I started 'showing', so my pictures start around 19 weeks. (almost half way).

Labor and Delivery

A very eventful labor ending with a beautiful baby boy, they ended up needing to use the vacuum after thinking they were going to need to do a emergency c-section because of the baby's heart rate to drop down too low. We ended up delivering okay with a fabulous epidural. After the baby came out they took the baby to the area set up for him and suctioned all the mess out of his lungs and it took a second for him to make any noise. I was finally able to hold him after they decided he is fine and it was wonderful.
It was about 20 minutes of pushing and he was born at 2:07AM on August 8th. They gave him a very thorough bath in the room and trimmed his nails and I was able to hold him from that point on. Our mother and baby room was so very cozy and heard to leave in the end. We had a great experience and bonded with baby in that room and were completely taken care of. Nautas had his hearing tests and was circumcised before we left and we were instructed on care and everything to make us feel confident. It was a great experience and everything turned out perfect in the end. We have a beautiful baby boy that we are very proud of and feel like the luckiest parents in the world!

Maternity Photos

We had pictures taken by the fabulous Katie Elmer (www.katieelmerphoto.com) and love how they turned out. These were taken in our new home.

Treasure Hunt

We went to the Sacramento Antique fair this month and had a blast! I want to do it every month! Such great finds and the prices varied, some were very high others were extremely reasonable, the dealers accept haggling out there as well. Some of our exciting finds:
While we were hoping to find the beating heart of Davy Jones in this chest, no such luck! We love it anyways, we put it in our family room and it fits right in!
We got this fabulous dresser to use as a changing table in the baby room and it's the perfect size and height for it. It also inspired a color scheme for the room and I've been on the hunt for some kind of sea foam green colored bedding.

We also got a couple other things but I'll spare you, they are smaller items anyway.

Fresh life.

As luck has it, we are expecting our own little bundle of joy in July and are counting down the days. I've been getting his (yes its a boy) room together and prepping for mi vida loca post delivery. I'm also enrolled in 12.5 units of classes so I'm a bit over loaded and having a issues keeping up with the workload on top of eating properly, giving myself time to ralph it back up and then eating again. I'm getting the hang of it, after all we are 5 1/2 months into this and the vomiting seems to be here to stay. I'm definitely very much looking forward to warmer weather and swimming that cant come soon enough. I haven't even been swimming in my own pool yet!
